Non-ExemptSUMMARYThe Lead Warehouse Associate is responsible for the facilitation of document preparation and traffic coordination required to correctly process shipments in a cost-efficient manner and in compliance with company policies and procedures and all regulatory guidelines and requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide on-time transportation, logistics and regulatory compliant services associated with a demanding and time-critical schedule relating to delivery to projectsAssure the proper handling import and export transactions and vessel clearancesEffective liaison with Operations Department to ensure a timely, predictable and cost efficient shipping process from origin to destination (including local deliveries and pickups)Operate in compliance with all relevant Procurement, Subcontracts, Materials Management and Export and Import Compliance proceduresRecommend solutions for handling out-of-gauge and abnormal loadsEnsure that an Import and Export log register is maintainedMaintain recordkeeping and shipment files to ensure compliance with U.

and other applicable government regulations and internal proceduresGenerate, use and document standard or adhoc reports to monitor operations, report on objectives, through puts and KPI's according to protocols and proceduresJob RequirementsEducation and/or Work Experience RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED; AA/Vocational/Technical preferred1-3 years of CFS experienceAS400 Experience a plusWMS ExperienceExperience with invoicing, and generating and entering purchase orders into a packing systemExperience with air, ocean and ground transportationKnowledge of principles of inventory control, logistics and distributionProficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)Sense of urgency and ability to follow up are critical skillsAbility to communicate in English orally and in writing with U.
